Above is the picture we had printed at the milk exhibit after the run. It is supposed to look like we're on a magazine cover. The set up was not that successful. We did get a free picture out of it though, so I guess we can't complain! There's a shot of me in action here. That will probably be up for a limited time because that picture is up for sell from the pro photographers there. You can also scan their gallery to check out other pictures from the event. Lauren is in there somewhere. Lauren is also in the Strictly Running gallery (I think she is in the second one. Apparently they've added more galleries since I last checked, so there could be others). Anyway, that should do it for the 5-miler stuff.
Yesterday I decided to go ahead and try to run so I wouldn't fall off the bandwagon. I must say that I was pretty lethargic and had a very difficult time. I really think part of it was the allergies. The other part was still being sore from the race. And the other part was that I really wasn't feeling that motivated. I think today I'm going to change some things up and just go to the gym. It is good to keep your routine varied so you don't get bored. Especially if you are like me and have a short attention span. The end for now :-)

I'm having a hard time getting back into the running bandwagon, too! I feel like now that I've run five miles, when I run two or three miles I'm a slacker. I'm trying new areas to run, too -- I discovered the Hollywood/Rose Hill area behind AC Moore Elementary (the area behind Blatt PE Center). It's very shady and somewhat cool on these hot summer days.
I have GOT to get some more tunes on my iPod. Fergie's "My Humps" isn't cutting it anymore. That was so two years ago. :-D I really like the song from the new iPod commercial. It's by a group called The Ting Tings. Very high energy -- which I desperately need!!
Keep up the running spirit, my dear!
